Everyone should play a role in reducing economic doldrums these days. The Palm Terrace Lounge at Island Hotel Newport Beach is doing its part to raise peoples' spirits by offering a glass of wonderful spirits with a choice of contemporary comfort bites.

From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday-Friday at Palm Terrace Lounge, the reasonably priced cocktail or wine and delicious bite selections progress by the hour. In other words, at 5 p.m. the deal is "Five @ 5:00" - choose one of five alcoholic beverages and choose one of five bite options for just $5. Then there's "Six @ 6:00" for $6; "Seven @ 7:00" for $7; and "Eight @ 8" for $8. What a deal! What fun! You'll want to bring 4, 5, 6, or 7 friends to try everything during The Newport Center Social Hour.

Some of the beverage selections include: Chardonnay, Sonoma Cutrer, Russian River Ranches; Chandon Brut Sparkling Wine; Merlot, Rodney Strong; The Island Margarita; and The Island Mojito. Bites: Everyone's Favorite Beef Sliders; Chicken Quesadilla; Chef B's Famous Macaroni & Cheese; White Bean Hummus with Pita Chips; Our Own Homemade Margarita Pizza. Another beverage incentive, all draft beers are $5 each from 5 to 9.
