The giving back program allows organizations to use the Wine Lab to raise funds for a cause. The simple turnkey program is designed to be a two-hour fundraising event at the Wine Lab. The organization is responsible for the guest list and can raise more than $600 during the event. The Wine Lab offers five selected wines paired with three artisan cheeses for $35 per person. The organization receives one-half or $17.50 from each person that participates. In addition, the Wine Lab will donate 10 percent of all bottle sales during the event as well as validate parking for guests. The organization must secure a minimum of 20 guests and no more than 35 guests. The Wine Lab is offering the "Wine and Cheese Pairings for a Cause" on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Wine Lab Newport is a wine tasting bar and retail shop located on Mariner's Mile, just one-fourth mile south of Newport Boulevard on Pacific Coast Highway (between Chart House and Villa Nova) in Newport Beach. Store and bar hours are Tues.-Thurs. 4pm to 8pm; Friday 12noon to 10pm; Saturday 2pm to 10pm; and Sunday 2pm to 7pm. Daily wine tasting opportunities include selected white and red wine flights and an additional menu of wines by the half or full glass. A selection of artisan cheeses and small plates are also offered. The Wine Lab has over 400 selections of wines from around the world including over 200 wines under $25 per bottle.
