In honor of Valentine’s Day, Tangata Restaurant, located at Bowers Museum, is hosting a cozy and romantic candlelight dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. The exquisite four-course dinner served amidst Valentine’s Day-inspired décor is $46 per person. The menu selection includes heart-shaped ravioli with sautéed zucchini ribbons, shaved Reggiano cheese and warm truffle vinaigrette to start. There is choice of either Ahi tuna tartar and crispy wonton with avocado, Meyer lemon aioli and sesame seaweed salad or red Belgium endive and baby frieze salad with Cabrales blue cheese, persimmon and spiced Marcona almonds with aged sherry vinaigrette for the second course. The main course selection includes either filet mignon with red beet potatoes, wilted hydro watercress, pomegranate red wine reduction and fresh horseradish cream or pan seared Artic Char with house-made sweet pea “pillows,” garlic kissed pea tendrils and lemon infused olive oil.

A decadent Valentine’s dessert will be served for sweethearts to enjoy. There will also be an open cash bar with special Valentine cocktails available.

Bowers Museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Six exhibitions are currently featured, including the acclaimed “Mummies: Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt...Treasures from the British Museum.”
