Ask a Newport Beach local and they’ll tell you that their favorite months of “summer” are September and October – “Indian Summer.” During this magical time of year, the streets of Newport have emptied out from the summer rush, the beach is yours alone, restaurant reservations are easy to come by – and the weather is, well, sublime. Looking for something more challenging on the stand up paddle board? Come and give SUP Yoga a try. You will start with a stand up paddle lesson so you can paddle to the yoga destination, then you will enjoy a Vinyasa Flow style practice which will unfold progressively (layering and modifications) and include “savasana”, and a short paddle session back to the beach. It is HIGHLY recommended that you already have a studio based practice and have a good understanding of alignment and core engagement which are crucial elements for safe execution of the postures on the stand up paddle board.
