Holiday Events at Balboa Bay Resort
The beautiful Balboa Bay Resort has officially announced its calendar of holiday events—featuring everything from holiday brunches to New Year’s Eve soirees. Starting with the “Holiday Hullabaloo” BBC’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Musical-Review on Dec. 1, guests can enjoy a grand performance followed by the lighting of a 20-foot Christmas tree. And later in the month, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day brunches will take place, along with a NYE dinner and a swanky Studio 54 New Year’s Eve Party!
New to the Neighborhood
Newport Beach is always welcoming new restaurants, shops and small businesses, and fresh on the scene is Salt & Straw! This ice cream shop opened its doors in late September of this year and is now a community staple in the Westcliff neighborhood. Stop by for a seasonal scoop of their creamy and delicious ice cream! Each flavor is crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, so you can feel good about indulging.
When it comes to holiday merriment, there’s no place like Corona del Mar’s Sherman Library & Gardens. The theme for this year’s Night of 1000 Lights 11-night event is “Hooray for Hollywood.” Visitors will walk a red carpet beneath a dazzling light tunnel that leads to “Moulin Rouge,” a Parisian dance hall in the Tea Garden with French cabaret singers and can-can dancers. But we won’t ruin the surprise—get your tickets now and experience this winter wonderland for yourself!
Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
Don’t miss out on the event of the season! From Dec. 14-18, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade will take place on Newport Harbor. Watch as beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes set sail during this famous seasonal celebration! Watch from the shores of Balboa Island or Marina Park, or dine and watch from one of Newport Beach’s many waterfront restaurants—this is a dazzling event you won’t want to miss!
Creative Communal Holiday Market
