Crystal Cove Alliance and the Crystal Cove Alliance Art Council are please to announce a workshop from acclaimed artist John Burton.

A Testimony of Beauty

Taught by John Burton, this workshop conducted in Crystal Cove State Park, will give students an opportunity to capture in paint the beautiful diversity of one of the gems of Southern California.

Students will spend three days painting within the park.  Learn to react intuitively painting en plein air.  Refine your artistic visual vocabulary, and define your voice.  Create and maintain the big picture while capturing the moment.  Learn to assess your work objectively and subjectively.  Forget the formulas and look to nature for the truthful answers.  Create a painting that goes beyond merely a picture but one that evokes the senses.  Engage in artistic challenges and artistic dialog, take risks, and explore under the tutelage of an instructor who is passionate about painting!
