Wednesday, June 25, 7:30 p.m. – Sherman Library & Gardens, Corona del Mar
Gates open at 6:45 p.m. for complimentary wine in the Gardens · Intermission coffee & cookies · Meet the musicians after the concert
Join Elizabeth Blumenstock and colleagues for a grand evening of chamber music for winds in the atmospheric setting of Sherman Gardens, featuring concertos, trios, quintets and quartets by Telemann, Vivaldi, and others. While the Venetian “Red Priest” is mainly known for his immediately recognizable string writing, his many chamber concertos for various combinations of woodwinds, strings, and continuo also evoke the contrasting moods of Venice (“La Serenissima”) and reveal the virtuosity of Vivaldi’s musicians.
- General Admission: from $45
- Subscription to all five concerts: $325, includes premium, reservable, concert seating and a private catered dinner after the Festival Finale on June 29.
- A $5 processing fee is applied to all advance-purchase ticket orders. Concerts are popular and often sell out, so advanced purchase is advised.
- $10 Student Rush Tickets at the door, IF AVAILABLE, for ages 12-29, valid school and photo ID required; NMUSD students aged 12 and above may bring an adult for the same $10 rush price—proof of NMUSD enrollment is required.
- PLUS – students may attend dress rehearsals free of charge. Message @baroquemusicfestivalcdm or email students@bmf-cdm.org for details and to register for rehearsal attendance.
