Blue Whale Migration Spring/Summer 2023 – $20 Cruise Special
The annual “Giant Blue Whale Migration” brings hundreds of blue whales each spring & summer to the waters off Newport Beach. Over 625 whales were viewed last summer2022 of which 140 were the giant blue whales. Along with viewing these giants view the second largest whale in the world, the finback whale which is often seen feeding in the same areas as the blue whales. Other whales encountered include humpback whales, and minke whales. Along with whales, giant pods of common and bottlenose dolphin are also very likely with pods numbering in the hundreds to over one thousand frequently viewed. These “mega” pods of dolphin are quite an amazing sight to witness with what seems like the whole ocean filled with jumping dolphin as far as you can see.Why is the whale watching so good off Newport Beach?
