Community Days offer the public an excellent opportunity to view the Back Bay Science Center facility as it is only open for scheduled programs during the week. Guests can view aquarium tanks displaying native marine life, walk a nearby loop trail with a beautiful view of the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve, and observe shorebirds during a low tide. Additionally, younger visitors may particularly enjoy the outdoor touch tanks where they will have the chance to touch organisms typically seen in tidepools. Staff will also be available to answer any questions about education programs, public involvement, and volunteer opportunities. Community Days are FREE and offered to all ages.
