Join us as award-winning author, James Nestor discusses his new book, DEEP: Freediving, Renegade Science, and What the Ocean Tells Us about Ourselves. After witnessing a freediver dive 300 feet and return to the surface four minutes later in perfect health he was inspired to explore the human connection to the ocean. James Nestor grew up in Tustin, CA and spent many summers surfing in Newport Beach. He has written for Outside Magazine, The New York Times, and Men’s Journal.
