NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. The producers of the very successful Sunset Jazz at Newport summer series, Joe Rothman and John McClure, premier their winter/spring 5 concert series inside the Newport Beach Marriott’s Hook & Spear restaurant, a venue perfectly designed for intimate concerts, able to accommodate just 106 jazz enthusiasts. All concerts will be held on a Wednesday night, one each month- January thru May, 2020. Doors will open at 6pm and the show: 7:00 to 9:30pm.

JAN. 29: CALABRIA FOTI- BOB McCHESNEY QUINTET- A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening! Featuring Otmaro Ruiz, Kevin Axt, Dick Weller

FEB. 19: HARRY ALLEN joins TEKA & HER NEW BOSSA TRIO- an Evening of Bossa Nova & Straight-ahead jazz featuring Quinn Johnson, Edwin Livingston, Kevin Winard

MARCH 4: BRUCE FORMAN TRIO featuring Alex Frank, Jake Reed and THE RED GUITAR The first set featuring the trio followed by a one hour performance of The Red Guitar- straight from Off Broadway!

APRIL 1: JOHN PROULX sings & plays NAT KING COLE, CHET BAKER & JOHN PROULX Featuring Chuck Berghofer, Kevin Kanner and special guest- Chuck Findley

MAY 13: JACKIE RYAN sings the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK – featuring the Bill Cunliffe Trio with Chris Colangelo & Dean Koba plus special guest-Rickey Woodard
