Mark your calendar, as April 16th, 2017 is Easter Sunday. This is the perfect time to gather the family and celebrate this spring holiday in style. Many of our favorite restaurants and event venues have a great deal of fun in store for kids of all ages. Here is list of 14 various Easter brunches, dinners and events, including: menus, pricing and hours. Here’s to planning a wonderful weekend of Easter egg hunts, harbor cruises and family fun!

Five CrownsFive Crowns
Easter Brunch 11:00am to 3:00pm
Dinner 4:00 to 9:00pm
Five Crowns is a charming replica of one of England’s oldest country inns and a Corona del Mar landmark, offers warm hospitality and cozy fireplaces set among authentic antiques and period paintings. With a distinctive style it is a dining destination for special occasions since 1965. For Easter, guests will order from an expansive menu that Chef Kling has prepared for all to enjoy.

Dinner Menu 4:00-8:00pm
This charming Craftsman style restaurant features rich tones, dark wood and private booths. This Easter guests can enjoy a three-course Champagne Brunch for $25 per person for adults and $12 for the under 12 crowd. There are eight different entrée options, including Eggs Benedict, Grilled Salmon, and Mixed Berry Waffle. Prime Rib and NY Steak & Eggs can be selected for an additional $5. Bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Mary’s can be added for $9. The regular dinner menu will be available beginning at 4:00 in the evening.

Rothschild'sRothschild’s Restaurant

This charming European-style restaurant is a cherished “locals” spot in Corona del Mar. In addition to their regular Lunch menu they will be featuring these four Brunch specials: Belgium Waffles with fresh berries ($10.95), Eggs Benedict with Black Forest ham or fresh Crab ($15.95), Eggs Florentine ($13.95), Fresh Grilled Salmon ($18.95) and of course Mimosas and a full bar will be pouring everyone’s favorites! In the evening they will have their regular dinner menu and open for dinner beginning at 5:00pm.

Closed the evening of Easter
Who doesn’t like to play in the garden? How about dining while overlooking a working garden, and enjoying the best of the best in real “farm-to-table” cuisine? That is what Chef Cathy Pavlos is up to and her plating and presentation is so beautiful I have to press pause before dining. For Easter, Chef Cathy has a Prix Fixe four-course brunch for $49 for adults and $18.50 for children (excluding tax and gratuity, of course). A complimentary glass of champagne will also be available. They will not be open for evening service, however they will be open for brunch and dinner on Mother’s Day.

BaysideBayside Restaurant

Bayside restaurant is an elegant setting and always delicious. Celebrating Easter this year Chef has created an incredible 3-course meal that includes appetizer, entrée and dessert for $48.75 per person (plus tax and gratuity). The Brunch also includes free-flowing Mimosas or Champagne. There are 8 different starters and 12 different entrees to select from. From Crab Cake Florentine to Tiger Prawns Risotto, to a Grilled Prime Culotte Steak or blackened Swordfish and many
more— there is something for every taste bud. A 3-course prix-fixe is also available for kids for $21.75 (for kids 12 and under). During the evening the 3-course prix fixe dinner will be $40 per person. There will be live entertainment both day and evening on Sunday!

Dinner 5:00 – 10:00pm
Chef Peter will be filling up the Fireside patio with live-action stations, breakfast specialties, made-to-order specialties, a pancake bar, carving stations with five proteins, fresh farmer’s market salads, and so much more. The cost is $90 per adult and $25 for children ages 5-12. Pricing excludes tax and gratuity. Mimosas, a Bloody Mary Bar and Farm-to-Table Margaritas are available for an additional charge. Regular dinner service will be available in the evening.

Newport Dunes Easter Egg HuntNewport Dunes
9:00am – Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach- Saturday, April 15th
Free Easter Egg Hunt open to the community. More than 6,000 eggs will be “hidden” with a variety of goodies contained inside ranging from candy and toys to cash prizes and one golden egg will have a token for a new bicycle!
7:00am – Sunrise Easter Service- Sunday April 16th
Easter Sunday at the Newport Dunes begins with the renowned Sunrise Easter Service on the shores of Pavilion East at 7:00am.  The service will be delivered by Pastor Tim Lukei of Mariners Church.  Enter at the 101 Bayside Drive entrance.

Back Bay BistroBack Bay Bistro at Newport Dunes
Brunch Buffet 9:00am to 2:00pm
Overlooking the Marina and calm Back Bay estuary, Back Bay Bistro has large picture windows, outdoor wrap-around patio and a retractable roof to enjoy the views from every vantage point. On this Easter Sunday, there will even be a guest appearance by the Easter Bunny! Get your cameras ready!

Buffet menu highlights include: a seafood station with King Crab Legs, a smoked fish station, an antipasti display, salad bar and fresh fruit, an omelet station, pancake station, a carving station featuring Lamb Culotte & Tenderloin, chocolate fondue, and many other treats.  Back Bay was named “Top 10 in SoCal” and “Top 50 in the U.S.” by Open Table. Easter Brunch Buffet pricing for adults will be $79 (including bottomless champagne & Mimosas). Children (12 years and under) will be $38. (Pricing does not include gratuity or tax.)

The Resort at Pelican Hill Mar Vista Grand Ballroom Brunch & Easter Egg Hunt

The little ones will delight in an Easter egg hunt and visits with the Easter Bunny at the elegant Resort at Pelican Hill. In Mar Vista’s grand ballroom executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray presents traditional brunch favorites, accented with California and Tuscan flavors. There will be a cold station filled with everyone’s favorites, a poke station, a raw bar, carving station, breakfast favorites, salads, cheese and fruits, hot stations, soups and a dessert station with a long list of sweets.
The price is $128 per adult and $60 per child ages 5-12. (Complimentary for children 5 and under.) Pricing excludes tax and service charge.

Coliseum Pool & Grill
Brunch Buffet 7:00am to 3:00pm
Dinner 4:00 – 10:00pm
Bring the entire family down to Coliseum Pool & Grill on Easter Sunday, as Chef Oscar creates an extraordinary brunch buffet. There will be a selection of fruits, yogurt, smoked salmon, an omelet & waffle station, carving station and assorted pastries. $65 per adult and for children 5-12 years of age $30 (excludes tax and gratuity). Children under 5 are complimentary. Dinner will feature an a la carte menu.

Pelican Grill
Easter Brunch Specials 10:00am – 3:30pm

Chef Marc is creating a special selection of á la carte dishes for Easter brunch and dinner at Pelican Grill. Guests can make their own selections and enjoy soups, salads, entrees and of course desserts too. With a full bar and lounge area, the choices are endless.

The WineryThe Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar

Dinner 5:00 – 9:00pm
With a lovely view of the Marina, The Winery showcases exceptional seasonal cuisine. The three-course Brunch menu will be $46.95 per guest (exclusive of tax and gratuity). Chef Yvon is preparing a lovely offering with six different starts (all of which sound amazing), and seven different entrée items. The Pastry Chef’s petits fours will complete this celebration brunch. For children, the Chef and his team will prepare their favorites as well. For evening service, The Winery will be featuring their regular dinner menu.

Waterline Newport BeachWaterline Newport Beach
Brunch 11:00am – 3:00pm
Closed the evening of Easter
Waterline Newport Beach, with its nautical-inspired design, is a refined restaurant with dramatic views of the Bay. Executive Chef Rachel Haggstrom is at the restaurant’s helm and Sam Green is Chef de Cuisine. A lovely three-course brunch will be featured. Main course options include: Lamb Rack, Crab Cake Benedict, Poached Wild Isles Scottish Salmon and Petite Filet Mignon. The price for adults is $68 and children (4-12) will be $34 (gratuity not included). The dining room will not be open for dinner Easter evening.

Hornblower Cruises in Newport Harbor
Easter Champagne Brunch Cruises: Departures at 9:30am, 10:00am & 2:00pm
Easter Supper Cruise: Departs at 3:00pm
Easter Dining Cruises in Newport Beach provide savory American fare, chocolatey treats and live entertainment— all while cruising the Newport Harbor. Guests can walk the deck and enjoy all of the spectacular views that our lovely Harbor offers. The price for the 2-hour Brunch Buffet is $68.95 (other taxes apply and service fees apply). This includes: free-flowing Champagne, hosted soda, juice, coffee, tea, and water, a lavish Brunch Buffet, live solo entertainment and photos with the on-board Easter Bunny! The 2.5 hour Easter Supper Cruise departs at 3:00pm and includes: a boarding glass of Champagne, hosted soda, juice, coffee, tea, and water, a lavish Supper Buffet, live solo entertainment and photos with the on-board Easter Bunny!
