Girls Day Out in Newport Beach

Girls Day Out in Newport Beach

Ladies of luxury, it’s time for the ultimate girl’s day out experience. Newport Beach offers a range of picturesque daytime activities, cuisine options, and a bustling nightlife that’s sure to appeal to you and your gals. From the countless buzz-worthy brunch spots hidden in all corners of the city to the numerous boutiques sprawled from Fashion Island to the Balboa coast, there’s no place else you’d want to spend a Saturday with your girlfriends.

It’s 10 AM and you’re scrolling through Yelp in search of the oh-so-perfect brunch spot… Look no further. Haute Cakes Caffe, located on Westcliff Drive, is one of NB’s not so hidden gems. Between their infamous orange risotto berry pancakes to the Instagram-able outdoor seating, Haute Cakes provides an experience both visually and cuisinally pleasing. Don’t be intimidated by the lengthy line that’s bound to form before 11 AM, their bustling servers and hosts will have you seated before you can mutter the words “avocado toast”.

With both your bellies and wallets full, it’s time for some retail therapy. Just down the street is the ultimate coastal shopping experience known as Fashion Island. The outdoor shopping mall infuses a sense of luxury and a touch of west coast sunshine with its plethora of boutiques, high end shops, and endless amounts of weekend shoppers hunting for their next purchase.

It’s not a GDO without a little cardio. Bike rentals can be found at just about any street of Newport, as it’s one of the most popular modes of transportation through the sun-filled beach town. With routes ranging from Corona del Mar, Back Bay, down to the peninsula where barefoot local surfers are en route to their next wave; Newport leaves little to the imagination when it comes to outdoor leisure. Time flies quickly, especially whilst cruising through the quaint, yet luxe beachside neighborhoods.

Happy hour is a daily holiday celebrated throughout Newport Beach, and what better way to spend it harborside during sunset? Zinqué Cafe in Lido Marina Village offers one of the best end-of-day experiences to be shared with your closest girlfriends. The extensive menu of French cuisine paired with a lengthy wine list is best enjoyed perched on their outdoor patio, facing the lapping waves of the harbor; home to countless docked yachts, settling after a long day out on the water.

With the sun finally down, it’s time to hit town…or as the locals say, “the peninsula”. This exciting strip of land is chock full of dive bars, billiard lounges, dance clubs, and endless clads of young adults hopping from one place to another till the bars call closing time. Newport Beach’s peninsula provides an extensive variety of nightlife experiences, each location branded with personality, crowd, and overall vibe. Needless to say, it’s near to impossible to get bored and call it a night before the clock strikes 12.

From brunch to bars, Newport Beach offers a plethora of experiences and memories to be made with your closest girlfriends.
