It’s no secret that the Italians have mastered the art of epicurean pursuits. Ardent supporters of authenticity, yet pioneers in Cal-Ital twists on cooking, it’s only fitting that CUCINA enoteca Newport Beach adapt an old Italian tradition with a contemporary spin. Traditionally held on Christmas Eve, the Feast of the Seven Fishes joins Italians around the dinner table, “family style”, where they indulge in seven courses of pescatarian goodness, “fasting” from red meat until their Christmas Day meal. CUCINA’s play on this holiday ritual showcases seven different fish specials that will be offered in rotation during the seven days leading up to Christmas Eve. CUCINA enoteca will feature two to three specials per day, giving diners a taste of the sea alongside the regular menu.
