NEWPORT BEACH, California, April 15, 2016 – Local Orange County venue, Campus JAX, (formerly known as Jack Shrimp, on West Coast Hwy) will host the Surfrider Foundation Newport Beach chapter during Earth Week at its new location on Campus Drive near John Wayne Airport. The local chapter of Surfrider Foundation is proud of Campus JAX for becoming certified as an Ocean Friendly Restaurant in Newport Beach, and will celebrate them with the first Taste OF mixer to be held in Orange County. The “OF” stands for “Ocean Friendly”.
At the Surfrider/Campus JAX Taste OF mixer on Thursday, April 21st in Newport Beach, California, members of Surfrider will join members of the local community, businesses and local government to celebrate Campus JAX as the first restaurant to be certified in Newport Beach with this new environmental protection program. Jack Jasper, owner of Campus JAX, is excited and honored to be the first recipient of the certification in Newport Beach. He has implemented several sustainable actions, and looks forward to sharing them at the Taste OF mixer.
Surfrider is working with the restaurant industry to prevent pollution and to promote sustainable communities. Come out and support them! Mingle with others who support these efforts and learn more about the Ocean Friendly Restaurants program. Everyone is welcome!
