9 Newport Beach Easter Indulgences


Easter weekend is the time where children spend the morning running around rummaging for Easter eggs and enjoying a visit with the Easter bunny. It is also the time when families gather for Easter brunch, and Newport Beach has a myriad of options to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a lavish buffet, or a la carte dining, you’ll be tickled to find there’s one perfectly suited for you. The only thing you need to worry about is making a reservation.

Back Bay BistroBack Bay Bistro

With the beautiful Newport Beach Back Bay as your backdrop, enjoy a gourmet Easter Sunday Brunch at Back Bay Bistro from 9am to 2pm. The extravagant Easter Sunday Brunch offers signature breakfast dishes and multiple food stations including seafood, pasta, omelette, carving, and more. Bottomless champagne and mimosas are included for adults, and children will enjoy a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Easter Brunch is $79 for adults (includes bottomless Champagne and Mimosas) and $38 for children 12 years and under. Reservations are recommended.

BaysideBayside

At Bayside, enjoy your 3-course Easter Brunch dining al fresco on their wrap-around patio, or the comforts of the dining room. The options are aplenty and you might just find yourself having a hard time deciding what to order. Start with one of the many creative salads including Roasted Ruby Beets, or Bresaola Carpaccio. Moving on to entrée selections, the list is extensive, ranging from breakfast favorites such as “Bayside” Benedict or Frittata, to Tiger Prawn Risotto, Kurobota Pork Chop or Blackened Pacific Swordfish and more. Your choice of Dark Chocolate Cake or a Strawberry Almond Tart rounds off the meal perfectly. For those under 12 years of age, there is a special menu for $21.75 which includes chicken, pasta or salmon. Easter Brunch is served from 10am to 3pm. Adults $48.75 and includes free flowing Champagne or Mimosas.

BeachcomberThe Beachcomber at Crystal Cove

There is nothing more beautiful than beachside dining, and The Beachcomber is the perfect spot to indulge in Easter Day Brunch. Start with Beignets and Ambrosia or fresh seasonal fruit with a sweet vanilla yogurt drizzle and homemade granola. Then, choose from numerous entrées that will tantalize your palate. Included are Surf and Turf which offers Nana’s Crab Cake alongside a 6oz grilled top sirloin steak with a poached egg and more.

Vegetarians will find the Frittata delightful. Packed with roasted tomatoes, asparagus, baby spinach, mushrooms, smoked Gouda cheese and served with roasted Spanish potatoes and artisan toast.

Other options include Cinnamon Pancakes with Ham and Eggs, Ribeye French Dip and Lobster Mac & Cheese.

Easter Day Brunch at The Beachcomber is from 7am to 4pm. Adults $38.95, Children $14.95, includes glass of Champagne, Mimosa or orange juice, soda or coffee.

FlemingsFleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar

Enjoy a three-course prix fixe brunch at Fleming’s this Easter starting with your choice of Lobster Bisque, Modern Caesar Salad or Housemade Burrata Salad. Then, indulge in one of the five entrée choices such as Fleming’s Signature Eggs Benedict — a gorgeous surf n turf offering with sliced filet mignon and crab cake – Farm Fresh Veggie Omelette, California Style Steak & Eggs, Grilled Ora King Salmon Cobb Salad or Cinnamon Apple Brioche French Toast. All entrées are served with Lyonnaise Potatoes and Pan Seared Broccolini sides. For dessert, select from fresh seasonal berries & cream, Tahitian vanilla bean crème brûlée or New York cheesecake.

Don’t miss out on Bacon & Blue Cheese Bloody Mary or Sonoma Sparkler, two special cocktails to accompany your meal with, and are available for $8.95 each.

Easter Brunch runs from 11am to 3pm and is priced at $47.95 per adults/$18.95 per child (age 12 and under)

Newport Dunes

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt returns to the shores of the Newport Dunes on Saturday, April 15. Beginning at 9am, hundreds of children will gather to search for more than six thousand eggs containing goodies ranging from candy and toys, to golden eggs containing cash prizes and a token for a new bicycle. The Easter Bunny himself will also lead the hunt and be available for family photos.

Oak GrillOak Grill

The casual fine dining restaurant located at The Island Hotel is offering Easter Sunday Brunch from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Make your way around to Fireside, where you’ll find live-action stations filled with traditional brunch favorites such as Build-Your-Own Omelettes and a Pancake Bar, an On The Water oyster, shrimp and ceviche offering, Farmer’s Market salads, roasted vegetables, artisan cheeses and charcuterie, as well as Chef’s Carving Corner with filet of beef, herb-roasted chicken, slow-roasted leg of lamb, Lake Superior white fish and whole baked salmon. Desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth include an Interactive Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich Station and Easter-inspired angel food and pineapple upside down cakes. Plus, bottomless mimosas will top off the morning.

Buffet pricing is $90 per adult and $25 (ages five to 12); children four years and under eat free. Pricing excludes tax and gratuity. Reservations encouraged.

Chef Cathy Pavlos’ beautiful Napa Valley-inspired restaurant nestled within Eastbluff is just the place to spend Easter Sunday. Opt to relax in the garden patio, or step into the French doors to the dining room within. A 3-course brunch with a myriad of choices is available, including filet mignon and crab cake Benedicts. End with the ever-popular mini Euro dessert bar which is a cornucopia of treats sure to delight both the young and young at heart. Adults $49 (includes champagne)/ Kids (under 12) $18.50.  Vegetarian /gluten free options available.

On Easter Sunday, The Resort at Pelican Hill will feature a traditional Easter Brunch which will take place in the Resort’s Mar Vista Ballroom. An impressive buffet brunch complete with an assortment of stations will be featured. From the Cold Station, you’ll find House-Smoked Salmon, Charcuterie, Grilled Vegetables, while the Raw Bar offers Shrimp Cocktail and Crab Claws. Breakfast lovers will revel in the made-to-order omelette and waffle station where you are in charge of creating your own concoctions with the array of garnishes to dot your omelettes with. Sink your teeth into Spring Roasted Leg of Lamb or Rotisserie California Capon from the Carving Station, before delving into the Dessert Station with more than 10 items including Vanilla Bread Pudding and Raspberry Rhubarb Crème Brulee. Adults $128/Children $60 (5-12 years) and excludes alcohol. Brunch is served from 10am to 3pm.

Tommy Bahama Island Grille Tommy Bahama Island Grille

Enjoy an island-style Easter with an a la carte Easter Brunch menu at Tommy Bahama Island Grille. From 10am to 2pm, you can sip on bottomless mimosas for $20 and relax in the restaurant’s garden patio. Start with Raspberry Yogurt Parfait ($9) with honey, granola and fresh fruit, then move onto Furikake Crusted Scottish Salmon Salad ($22), or the Cali Benedict ($16) with heirloom tomatoes and creamy ripe avocado. Those with a sweet tooth will love Coconut Encrusted Stuffed French Toast ($15), or order it to share with the table.

Chef Rachel Haggstrom and her team at the Balboa Bay Resort has a treat in store for you this Easter. Every guest will start with Crème de Cassis Pull-Apart Brioche served with sliced fruit and lychee yogurt. Then, choose between Lox Smørrebrød, or Dungeness Crab Salad as your first course, before moving onto your choice of Easter Lamb Rack, Crab Cake Benedict, Poached Wild Isles Scottish Salmon or Petite Filet Mignon. Finish with Chocolate Layered Cake or Lemon Semifredo. Brunch is served from 11am to 3pm. Adults $68 / Children (ages 4-12) $34.
