New restaurants are popping up left and right, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome these newbies! From the founder of Malibu Farm, Helene Henderson, Skål Pizza offers a slice of the good life with inventive farm-to-table pizzas that’ll make your mouth water. The restaurant is set in the charming Lido Marina Village and also offers a fresh selection of pastas, wood-fired vegetables, salads and, of course, beer and wine. But the best part, perhaps, is that diners can expect the same eco-conscious, farm-to-table ethos of Malibu Farm, knowing each ingredient is sourced sustainably with intention.
A popular restaurant in Laguna Beach for sushi and Asian fusion eats, Starfish is set to open its second location on Riverside Avenue in Newport Beach! The new location will open this spring and feature a menu rooted in tradition with classic dishes like sushi rolls, handmade dumplings, Thai curries and more. There will be over 70 shareable plates to choose from, along with a selection of exotic sake libations and an extensive wine list. This new restaurant is sure to make a splash!
Opening in late spring of this year, Palmilla Cocina y Tequila will bring a culinary Baja experience to the Balboa Peninsula! The original flagship location of Palmilla resides in Hermosa Beach, but the inspiration for this new spot hails from coastal destinations like Tulum and San Jose del Cabo. Palmilla Newport will serve modern interpretations of traditional Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine and expertly crafted coastal cocktails! Foodies can also look forward to sampling Newport Beach’s largest selection of tequilas and mezcals.
Get your fix of fresh pastries at Newport’s newest bakery, Boulangerie! Located next door to Moulin and Bouillon, this French haven for baked goods is a sister concept to Moulin and is now open and serving everything from artisan French breads and viennoiseries to coffee, juices and more. But be sure to get there early for the first pick; Boulangerie is open from 6 a.m. to whenever they sell out
