Timree Gold is a famous celebrity artist, Orange County local, and the “pioneer of paint parties.” During October, she’s set to host four different painting classes, each with a different spooky theme. Cooking Classes at ‘Lil Pinkies Up
Getting crafty doesn’t always involve an easel and a paintbrush. Put on your chef hats, and let’s get creative in the kitchen! ‘Lil Pinkies Up is Newport Beach’s premier place for kids to hone their culinary skills. Allison Rinehart is the founder of this quaint cooking school, which offers a variety of classes for kids of all ages. Sign up for her Halloween Haunts class on Oct. 27, where she’ll teach your young chefs how to whip up a spooky-themed snack, lunch, and dessert. Fall Faire at the Environmental Nature Center
Let your littles embrace the fall season at Environmental Nature Center’s 49th Annual Fall Faire and Pumpkin Patch! This epic event is not only the center’s largest fundraiser of the year but it’s an opportunity for kids to connect to the natural beauty of Newport Beach. They’ll be able to embark on a craft crawl, play nature games, and watch performances around the Fire Circle Stage. There will also be a variety of delicious treats from local Orange County restaurants and a pumpkin patch! The Fall Faire will take place on October 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., but the ENC also hosts several educational and hands-on programs and camps for kids throughout the year.
Little Seedlings Story Time at Sherman Library & Gardens
A blooming oasis in the heart of Corona del Mar, Sherman Library & Gardens is not only a place to stop and smell the flowers but also, a hub for conservation and education. Take your kids for a stroll through the variety of lush gardens, then sit down for Little Seedlings Story Time, where they’ll explore nature through the wonderful world of books. Held every Friday, this educational event takes place in the Central Garden and features stories, picture books, and poems. It’s also free to drop in!
Toddler Time at Art + Soul Collective
Located on the Balboa Peninsula, Art + Soul Collective is a studio that embraces a variety of mediums and is built on the idea that art should be fun! Classes here are broken into 6-8 week series and cover everything from drawing and painting to pottery. Designed to inspire young minds, the Toddler Time series encourages little ones to experiment with various art forms and materials.
