An Unmatched Experience

Attention all Foodies

Back Bay Bistro

The 8th Annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week is quickly approaching, and this year it’s a can’t-miss culinary celebration! From January 17-26, Newport Beach will showcase over 60 restaurants by offering three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30, or $40 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for only $10, $15, or $20 per person. In previous years, Newport Beach favorites such as SOL Cocina, Cucina Alessa, Eat Chow, and Fly ‘N’ Fish Oyster Bar & Grill have been a part of the edible extravaganza.

The best part of Restaurant Week is being able to experience a variety of cuisines and flavors and have a full meal at a discounted price. Make your way to each of the neighborhoods in Newport Beach and try something that catches your attention. For example, in Corona del Mar you can find Port Restaurant & Bar, a stylish eatery that boasts Continental cuisine and contemporary flare.

This Year:
A popular past participant that will make another appearance during Restaurant Week is Harborside Restaurant. With an unparalleled dining experience that offers waterfront views and menu items such as Orange Coconut Crusted Salmon and perfectly grilled steaks, Harborside is sure to satisfy your appetite. Sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer as you gaze out over the harbor.

The Bungalow Restaurant will showcase its Craftsman-style cuisine at this year’s Newport Beach Restaurant Week. Specializing in USDA prime steaks and fine wines, the Bungalow will provide rich, hearty, three-course meals at bargain prices. This year’s entree options included slow-braised prime short ribs, pan-roasted chicken breast, or blackened wild salmon as a part of a $30 three-course dinner.

For seafood and steak lovers, you’ll be pleased to know that 21 Oceanfront will be participating in Restaurant Week too! Make your way to the Balboa Peninsula and experience the romantic atmosphere, oceanfront dining, and steak and seafood specials at 21 Oceanfront.

Looking for authentic Mexican cuisine with a twist? SOL Cocina will be preparing dishes that blend traditional Baja-style dishes with a modern interpretation. Their fresh take on timeless Mexican meals will keep guests guessing but will leave them pleasantly surprised.

Sneak Peak:

Back Bay Bistro will give diners the chance to make their perfect picks during Restaurant Week. Their pre-set lunch menu includes their award-winning seafood chowder, while the dinner menu boasts blackened sea bass, scallops, or filet mignon. For $20 for lunch and $40 for dinner, you can select an item from the pre-set menu or any item off of the regular menu for your entrée in addition to your first course and dessert. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to dine at this American-style, waterfront venue.

Stay tuned to see what all of the restaurants in Newport Beach have to offer and don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in international fare, savory samplings, locally sourced seafood, and more. Bon appetit!
