An Unmatched Experience

It’s Fall – Time for Sage Restaurant’s October Wine Tasting!

At Sage Restaurant in Newport Beach, the focus is always on creating flavorful, colorful dishes that implement farm-fresh produce whenever possible. This mission stands true for their October Wine Tasting, which showcases butternut squash. This hearty winter vegetable, with its sweet flesh, is decidedly delicious and the perfect produce to create a fall or winter meal.

Hosted by wine guru David Womack, the Wine Tasting will begin at 2:30pm on Saturday, October 13 and will provide an array of butternut squash dishes to enjoy. For your first course, a crispy butternut squash salad with arugula, walnuts, goat cheese, and orange sage vinaigrette. For your second course, delight in a delectable butternut squash ravioli, served with a sage brown butter sauce. Next, roasted duck and butternut squash risotto with an orange pomegranate sauce will surprise and delight your palate. For dessert, savor butternut squash pie served with maple ice cream. An assortment of wines will accompany each course- not to squash (pun intended), but to boost and enliven the rich flavors of your meal.

Reservations are required, so call 949.718.9650 to reserve your place. Vegetarian options are also available to those who call in advance.
