Breakout of the boardroom, hold your meetings afloat!

November 12, 2015

Ready to pump some energy and excitement into your meetings? Perhaps it’s time to breakout of the boardroom and hold your meetings afloat! Escape the confines of a traditional meeting room, indulge in beautiful aquatic scenery and fire up the creative juices with a private cruise through Newport Beach’s picturesque harbor. Just being in fresh air and on the water puts both mind and body into a state of relaxation, helping to spark creativity. A private yacht cruise though Newport Harbor allows attendees to experience the beauty of Newport’s coastal environment including refreshing ocean breezes, roaring sea lions, historic landmarks and stunning views of the magnificent homes lining the harbor.

Newport Beach Harbor

Newport Beach Harbor provides the perfect backdrop for meetings or private dinner cruises. Spanning three miles, Newport Harbor houses over 9,000 private vessels, making it the largest small craft harbor in the United States. Cruise through these waters and you’ll quickly see why Newport Beach has become a playground for many of Hollywood’s elite. In the twenties, Newport’s beaches provided a retreat for celebrities wishing to escape the confines of studio contracts if only for the weekend. The peninsula’s historic ‘fun zone’, home of the landmark Harborside Restaurant, was the place to be during Hollywood’s Golden Era. Today, seven small, luxurious islands tucked throughout the harbor offer plenty of diverse views during a private yacht cruise. Holding meetings on the beautiful waters of Newport Beach puts a spin on the basic corporate event. It allows for a stress-free and relaxing time, cultivating an environment that fosters teambonding and inspired ideas. Finding the ideal yacht for corporate meetings and events is certainly not an issue here, there are a couple of yacht companies catering to corporate clientele.

Hornblower Cruises and Events offer a full line of luxury yachts and can handle just about any group size. The Hornblower fleet consists of six different luxury ships, including perhaps their most famous vessel, Wild Goose. Once the private luxury yacht of actor John Wayne, the ship was frequented by Wayne’s Rat Pack buddies including Joey Bishop, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra – a true historic treasure!

Pacific Avalon also operates out of Newport Beach providing two private luxury yachts each catering to a corporate clientele. The Ambassador accommodates up to 150 guests and is the newest in the Pacific Avalon luxury fleet with three decks, contemporary white leather lounge clusters, a dance floor and baby grand piano making it ideal for small to mid-size corporate events. The second, The Royal Princess has a maximum capacity of 149 guest, consists of panoramic windows and has a traditional interior with a piano and wooden staircase.

Private Corporate Events

The corporate event options are endless. Whether you are looking to breakout of the boardroom, celebrate with employees or hold a corporate dinner, luxury yachts offer an ideal and often all-inclusive venue. Corporate celebrations come alive on Newport Harbor whether it’s day or night thanks to unique space, fresh ocean air, warm temperatures and plenty of scenery.

Regardless of which yacht you choose, luxury private event cruises bring a refreshing twist to meetings and corporate events. Holding an event aboard a luxury yacht is the ideal way to experience the splendor of Newport Beach.
