Newport Beach, CA’s Hotel Portfolio Delights Meeting Planners

May 3, 2018

An engaging coastal community with a rare combination of upscale and affordable, Newport Beach, CA is a destination comprised of appealing opposites. Its wide selection of stylish properties, unique venues and airport proximity provide groups one of the most diverse and well-situated locations along the Southern California coast.

This charming beachside oasis continues to delight meeting planners with a new boutique hotel and the remodel of three properties, adding 30 percent new hotel rooms to its portfolio.

Newport Beach, CA’s recent addition

Celebrating, Newport Beach’s relaxed coastal lifestyle, the destination’s newest addition, Lido House Hotel epitomizes the casual luxury of the area. This beach house inspired retreat, built on the former grounds of city hall, pays homage to the community’s historical charm. Lido House is just steps from the activities of Newport Harbor, peninsula beaches and the luxe shopping and harbor front dining of Lido Marina Village. The property boasts 130 guest rooms, 15,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting space, a signature restaurant and a comfortably chic rooftop bar with peak harbor and ocean views.

Exciting upgrades to the Newport Beach portfolio

Along with the opening of Lido House, three of Newport Beach’s existing hotels have been remodeled and rebranded.

Coastal luxe Island Hotel has stepped up its style with its new name Fashion Island Hotel, aligning itself with its neighbor, the upscale, ocean view shopping mecca, Fashion Island. After the completion of an 18-month renovation updating all guest rooms and public spaces, Fashion Island Hotel announced its name change and now offers amenities such as Fashion Island gift cards, personal shopping service and transfers between both locations.

Additionally, the destination welcomed the rebranding and renovation of two airport close properties. Carlton Hotel Newport Beach underwent an extensive multi-million dollar interior and exterior renovation emerging as Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport, now with 28,000 feet of flexible meeting space.

Not to be outdone, The Duke Hotel, previously known as the Fairmont, is now Renaissance Newport Beach. Along with its rebranding, the hotel has completely renovated all 444 guest rooms and meeting space. A contemporary and interactive lobby sets the tone for this vibrant property, which, like it’s neighbor, Hyatt Regency, is just steps from John Wayne Airport and minutes from all Newport Beach attractions.

The Hyatt Regency Newport Beach also completed a remodel of their meeting space, which can accommodate groups up to 550. Pulling inspiration from its bayside location, Hyatt Newport Beach has woven the relaxed hues of the coast throughout the property, adding to its marine ambiance.

Masterfully integrating marina, beach and city, Newport Beach delivers an authentic Southern California experience – relaxed yet vibrant, stylish yet inviting. With its recent addition and changes, Newport Beach, CA’s growing portfolio offers meeting planners a vast selection of options for group meetings and events. From ocean-view and waterfront resorts to high-end, airport close properties, this year-round destination is sure to satisfy even the most discriminating meeting attendee! Add to that Newport Beach’s Mediterranean climate, miles of beaches and abundant activities and you have a destination so inviting, your group will want to return again and again.
