Eat, Walk and Be Merry in Corona del Mar

We’re approaching the final stretch of 2017 and that means it’s time to map out fun holiday activities happening in the area. If you’re in Corona Del Mar, there’s lots to do this weekend!

The CdM Farmers Market is a great spot to pick up some fruits and veggies. Quality and variety are tops among this market’s 20 vendors. Look for prepared foods, honey, fresh fish, and flowers—and lots of fruits and vegetables from premier growers often not seen at other markets.

CDM Christmas WalkThe Farmers Market is down the street from one of the season’s most popular community gatherings, the 39th Annual Corona Del Mar Christmas Walk on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 11am-4pm.

Hosted by the Corona Del Mar Chamber of Commerce, this annual family-friendly event brings together thousands of fun-loving people into the Village of Corona del Mar for live entertainment, food, prizes, and games in true holiday spirit!

Raffle tickets are available for sale, too. With more than $15,000-worth of prizes that include unique gift items, hotel stays, restaurant dinners, spa packages, gift certificates, services and more, there is something for everyone. The drawing will be held the week of Dec. 4 and you need not be present at the walk to win.

Another unique aspect of this year’s event is that CdM flower street signs will be auctioned off. The “Flower Streets” of Corona del Mar were recently replaced as part of a beautification project by the CdM Business Improvement District, so local residents have the opportunity to bid on owning one of the replaced street signs for their very own. Bidding will take place during the Christmas Walk between 11am-3:30pm. Starting bids per sign will be $25.00.

If you’re looking for a bite to each before or after the walk, there are several cafes within walking distance. Sherman Library & Gardens’ Café Jardin offers French-inspired coastal fare from seasonal ingredients, and the restaurant is located in full view of the central flower gardens.

A little farther south down PCH, Rose Bakery Cafe is known for its personable, colorful atmosphere. This neighborhood nook with outdoor seating serves pastries and sandwiches along with coffee and smoothies. Yelpers say the scones are the best they’ve ever had, and the café claims to have the best coffee in Corona Del Mar.

You don’t want to miss this exciting CdM weekend filled with holiday festivities for family, friends, residents, and visitors looking for a spectacular way to ring in the holiday season!
