Pumpkin Dishes in Newport Beach
October is finally here which means pumpkin season is officially upon us. We now have 1-2 months to enjoy all the pumpkin we can handle and to assist you we’ve found some delicious pumpkin dishes from our fabulous Newport Beach restaurants.
First, we have a delicious Caramelized Pumpkin & Chestnut Risotto from Fig and Olive. This dish features a pumpkin and chestnut puree, diced butternut squash, grated chestnuts, and pumpkin seeds. Chef George always wows us with his creative dishes and this Caramelized Pumpkin & Chestnut Risotto is the perfect blend of fall flavors.
The Winery Restaurant and Wine Bar
Do you know what’s better than an amazing pumpkin dish? An amazing pumpkin dish with a view. At The Winery Restaurant and Wine Bar, guests can dive into a delicate Pumpkin and Ricotta Ravioli served with crispy pork belly, toasted hazelnuts, and a brown sage butter sauce all while gazing out onto the beautiful Newport Beach harbor. In addition, they will also have a lovely Streusel Pumpkin Pie with a bourbon-pecan caramel and candied pecans. Now that sounds like the kind of pumpkin pie I’d like to eat!
Finally, for all of my brunch lovers you’ll want to start your weekend morning with some fantastic Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancakes from Haute Cakes Caffe. These decadent pancakes are flavored with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. They are then topped with chocolate chips and sprinkled with roasted pecans. Now that is how everyone should start their mornings in October.
After a delicious steak dinner at Mastro’s you’re definitely going to want to indulge in some delicious dessert. The Butter Cake at Mastro’s is a favorite among locals so we love that they are giving it a season twist. This fall diners can enjoy their Pumpkin Spice Butter Cake. Ruth RS on their Facebook page even calls it a “gift from the heavens”.
If you love fall as much as I do, then you already know the best part is enjoying all the seasonal fall cuisine. Luckily Newport Beach has amazing restaurants with some delicious options. Which of these pumpkin dishes are you excited to try?
