It’s finally fall in Newport Beach, and we’ve got lots of fun festivities in store this season! From the highly anticipated Newport Beach Film Festival to StyleWeekOC and the 34th Annual Lighting of the Bay, these six Newport Beach fall events are the best way to spice up your calendar. So save the date(s), and get ready for fun this fall in Newport Beach!

Fall Faire

Where: Environmental Nature Center

When: Oct. 13

The Environmental Nature Center’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Fall Faire offers a fun and festive way to support the ENC’s mission, connect with nature, and celebrate the season with family and friends. This one-day event will feature everything from a Craft Crawl with nature-inspired crafts and live performances on the Fire Circle Stage to a pumpkin patch and tasty treats from local restaurants. To make this a zero-waste event, guests are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups, plates, and utensils. Those who elect to do so will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate good for the gift shop or the ENC’s nature camps.

StyleWeekOC

Where: Fashion Island

When: Oct. 16-20

Lights, camera, fashion! For the first time ever, StyleWeekOC and the Newport Beach Film Festival will unite to display a powerhouse week of cinema and fashion. This will mark the 13th year of StyleWeekOC, and guests can expect everything from red-carpet events to a series of screenings and celebrity panel discussions, set to shape new cultural stories around fashion and film. As the cherry on top of this week-long event, Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, alongside “Vanderpump Rules” star Stassi Schroeder, will take center stage at Fashion Island.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the iconic Newport Beach Film Festival, which stands as one of the premier luxury lifestyle film festivals in the U.S. Showcasing a globally curated selection of films, this celebrated event also hosts lively cultural gatherings along the picturesque Southern California coast. Dedicated to promoting the voices of innovative storytellers from around the world, the festival highlights modern screen culture and cinematic artistry, fostering engaging dialogues between the community, filmmakers, and artists.

Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational

Where: Blackie’s Beach, Newport Pier

When: Oct. 19

See all the action at the Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational – the ultimate 4×4 beach volleyball tournament. Top professional players will compete for a grand prize of $250,000 in the largest one-day volleyball tournament! Enjoy the thrill of this vibrant sport while taking in breathtaking ocean views. Newport Beach Classic/Exotic Car Show & Music Festival

Where: Balboa Pier

When: Oct. 25-26

The Newport Beach Classic/Exotic Car Show & Music Festival, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, City of Newport Beach, and Balboa Village Merchants Association, returns with a Halloween-themed twist this year. Taking place at the Balboa Pier, this Newport Beach event will feature a display of exotic cars, live music, food trucks, a kids’ area, arts and crafts vendors, and a golf cart Halloween parade. New additions include a silent auction and a toy drive benefiting children in Watts. The festival is free and open to the public, with shuttle services available, and all proceeds will support local homeless and humanitarian projects.

34th Annual Lighting of the Bay

Where: Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina

When: Nov. 29-Jan. 6

‘Tis the season (almost!). On Nov. 29, from 3-8 p.m., Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is welcoming guests to its 34th Annual Lighting of the Bay. This festive event marks the start of the resort’s nightly bay lighting, which will run through Jan. 6, 2025. A cherished holiday tradition in Orange County, visitors from near and far come to witness the serene bay glow with over 50 illuminated Christmas trees and festive decorations. This hidden gem has become one of the region’s most enchanting seasonal attractions!
