Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice! These Cocktails Are Fall in a Glass

When someone says fall, which flavors come to mind?

Definitely pumpkin! Maybe apple and peach? And we can’t forget cinnamon. These fruits and spices simply scream, “I love fall!” and we’re here for it. Bring on the apple pies, pumpkin bread, peachy cocktails and spiced cider! There’s something about these goodies that make us want to bundle up in our coziest sweater and cheers to a crisp autumn evening. But before you start baking and bartending, we’ve rounded up five of our favorite fall cocktails to try in Newport Beach! Leave the mixology to the pros this season.

Summer House

Feelin’ peachy? In the quaint neighborhood of Corona del Mar, Summer House is whipping up a refreshing beverage perfect for a fall afternoon. The CDM Peach, crafted with peach vodka, freshly brewed tea and a squeeze of lemon, will be offered for a limited time, so don’t miss out! Pair this delightful creation with Summer House’s decadent Brie Burger made with brie cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, arugula and mayo, for a perfectly balanced seasonal bite.

Malibu Farm

Well-known for its palate-pleasing selection of farm-to-table bites, Malibu Farm at Lido Marina Village is the ideal spot for a brisk afternoon on the bay. Take in views of boats passing by on the open-air terrace and sip on a Pumpkin Chai Martini—the newest addition to the Malibu Farm menu! This crafty concoction features a smooth blend of Indian chai-infused Mulholland vodka, oat milk and spiced maple pumpkin agave and comes garnished with star anise and a dash of cinnamon. In other words, this is the fall beverage you’ve been waiting for.

Five Crowns

Since 1965, Five Crowns in Corona del Mar has remained a city landmark known for its award-winning food and wine, distinctive style and exceptional service. This old-school establishment was designed to replicate one of England’s oldest country inns, and that it does. With just a peek inside, you’ll quickly notice the restaurant’s cozy fireplaces, authentic collection of antiques and period paintings and warm hospitality. And in terms of seasonal sippers, Five Crowns never disappoints. Treat yourself to one of their By the Fireside cocktails made with caramel-infused Rittenhouse Rye and apple cider! This seasonal beverage is served hot and will warm you up from the inside out.

Lido Bottle Works

Not in the mood for a cocktail? No prob! Lido Bottle Works at Lido Marina Village is bringing the brats and beer with its Oktoberfest specials. During Sept. 21-24 and Sept. 28-Oct. 1 (Tuesday through Friday), you can enjoy a celebration featuring local craft beers, housemade Venison bratwursts and a complimentary 4oz taster with a LBW Untappd Subscription. Reserve your table during the week and enjoy classic German fare with a side of bay views.

Muldoon’s Irish Pub

For the ultimate “comfort cocktail,” head to the newly redesigned Muldoon’s Irish Pub in Newport Beach! This jumpin’ restaurant and bar serves all the Irish favorites, like shepherd’s pie, Irish stew and corned beef and cabbage. Pair your meal with the pub’s Smoked Pecan Old Fashioned, made with pecan-infused Powers Irish Whiskey, demerara syrup, black walnut and orange bitters and smoked apple wood chips. This smooth drink will warm you right up!
