Street Style
Street style is an essential force that drives both the high fashion industry and high street trends. More importantly, when done correctly, it can be an art form in itself – reflecting the complex relationship between the world of aesthetics and the real world. I set out to scour the streets, the beach and shopping hubs in order to find the best this art form had to offer in Newport Beach. What I found was a lot of super casual mommas but equally stylish people who truly cared about what they looked like.
Leave it to Newport Beach to show a diversity of looks. From stroller pushing Moms, men on their way to work in a perfectly tailored suit to high fashion gals in too high of heels. Being a voyeur on one of their many benches and curbside cafes proved to be so much fun I didn’t want to leave.
Racy in lace: Shopping for the latest and greatest, this Fashion Island babe played with the ever changing weather and mixed her summer lace short with a warm fall sweater for the perfect combination.
Simple yet chic: This Newport Beach boutique owner hit the mark on style with a sleek black ensemble comprised of the skinny jeans and a muscle tee, finished with the perfect cat eye sunnies and on-trend suede booties
Animal Instinct: Playing at Bonita Creek Park never looked so good in this perfect California fall outfit; from the rolled jeans to the sleeveless silk blouse and the leopard heels Indrani nailed it with the seasons must haves.
He’s got the blues: There were some definite men’s street style fashion but what I noticed was that they payed extra attention to their shoes. This gentleman braved the streets in cream pants and a v-neck sweater while taking a lunch break on the beach; but it was that one stand out piece, those blue shoes that had me running up to talk to him.
