Explore Newport Beach Farmer’s Markets
Knowing where your food comes from and what’s in it makes it easier to make healthy choices, which is just one compelling reason to shop at your local farmers’ market. Doing so not only helps you nourish your body, but it also nourishes the health of the community and the environment. Here in Southern California, where ample sunlight provides ideal farming conditions, we’re lucky to have a shorter journey from the farms to our dinner tables, and many towns—including Newport Beach—host weekly markets where we can buy ripe, freshly picked produce. So shop local this summer and explore our city’s two plentiful markets!
When: Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Newport Beach Farmers’ Market offers visitors a classic seaside shopping experience, where products from local vendors like fresh fruits, veggies, eggs and flowers abound. You’ll also discover items like artisan honey, hormone-free meats and freshly baked breads, which all come from Southern California growers, bakers and craft-makers. Shoppers can also enjoy live music, freshly prepared food, kids activities and community booths. Each Sunday, the market takes place, rain or shine, at the base of the Newport Beach Pier in McFadden Square.
The Surfrider Foundation Newport Beach also hosts a beach cleanup each week in tandem with the farmers’ market to preserve the beauty of our coastline and keep it clean for future visitors and generations. Pro tip: arrive early to score parking on W Oceanfront and W Balboa Boulevard!
Corona del Mar Farmers’ Market
When: Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Located at the intersection of Marguerite and PCH, the Corona del Mar Farmers Market has been bustling with visitors for over 22 years and features a variety of locally grown and harvested foods. Enjoy some fresh air in the charming neighborhood of CdM, and shop for everything from seasonal veggies and baked goods to bouquets of blooms and more.
The mission of this market is to celebrate the hard-working hands of our neighbors by shopping locally grown and produced items.
