5 Outdoor Workout Classes to Take This Summer

July 21, 2022

Enjoy fresh air and sunshine with an outdoor workout class in beautiful Newport Beach! Whether you prefer a HIIT-style sweat sesh or a peaceful yoga class, there’s something for everyone this summer. Here are five outdoor fitness classes that’ll have you looking and feeling your best!

CAZ Training Club

Every Monday night at Balboa Bay Resort, CAZ Training Club brings the heat with complimentary waterfront fitness classes. Choose between 4 p.m., 5:15 p.m. or 6:30 p.m., and gear up for a killer workout that combines cardio and strength training. To reserve your spot, email at least 12 hours in advance. Classes are only open to resort guests and Balboa Bay Club members.

Newport Peach

Get ready to tone that peach! Newport Peach hosts their Peach on the Beach classes every Saturday at 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Meet at Lifeguard tower #17 and sweat it out with a peachy combo of BUTI YOGA, Peach ‘n Abs, Barre and mat pilates. You’ll love this high-energy class (and the ocean view).

Pirate Coast Paddle Company

Take your yoga practice to the next level with a SUP yoga class on the water. Pirate Coast Paddle Company invites yogis to float atop a stand-up paddle board as the instructor guides the group through a basic flow of yoga poses and breath-work. Classes take place on the serene waters of the Back Bay, where attendees can enjoy the outdoor beauty of Newport Beach.

F45 Training Newport Beach

With one of the most grueling workout formats, F45 provides a full-body workout designed to improve energy levels, endurance, metabolic rate and strength. And while most classes take place indoors, the Newport Beach location often hosts classes on the sand. Be sure to check F45’s Instagram page for upcoming beach workouts this summer!

BOXHAUS and Ekam Yoga & Pilates

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, July 31, BOXHAUS and Ekam Yoga & Pilates will host a Crunch, Punch & Brunch class on the Lido House Courtyard Lawn. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., guests can choose from a variety of classes, including boxing, yoga and pilates. Then, from 11:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., attendees will have access to complimentary cabanas at the pool along with complimentary facials and massages at the Lido Spa. Don’t miss out!
