Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival Is Back

Calling all seafarers! The 8th Annual Newport Beach Wooden Boat Festival is back at the Balboa Yacht Club on June 7-8, 2024! Get ready to be dazzled by over 40 stunning wooden vessels of all sizes, alongside a showcase of master artisans and craftsmen at work. This year’s theme, “The Art & Craft of the Wooden Boat,” celebrates the creative artistry, intricate craftsmanship and timeless beauty of wooden boats. Here’s a sneak preview of what this year’s event has in store.

What to Expect at the Festival

Inaugural Opening Night

The fun kicks off on Friday, June 7, with an Inaugural Opening Night. Enjoy cocktails and appetizers aboard the America, get early access to some of the amazing boats and craftsmen exhibits and indulge in dinner, music and a live auction under the stars.

Hop Aboard!

Take a leisurely stroll along the Balboa Yacht Club docks and hop aboard the wooden boats. Chat with the proud owners and learn what makes each vessel so special.

Cruise Back in Time

Don’t miss your chance to sail on the America, a replica of the 139-foot wooden sailing yacht that made history in 1851 by winning the Royal Yacht Squadron’s 100 Guinea Cup race.

Art and Craftsmanship

Witness maritime craftsmen at work, listen to guest speakers sharing their wooden boat tales, and watch plein air artists capture the breathtaking beauty of Newport Harbor’s wooden boats.
