Enjoy fresh air and sunshine with an outdoor workout class in beautiful Newport Beach! Whether you prefer a HIIT-style sweat sesh or a peaceful yoga class, there’s something for everyone this summer. And with beautiful August days, there’s no better time to step outside the studio and take in the city’s scenery. Here are five outdoor fitness classes in Newport Beach that’ll have you looking and feeling your best!

Hot Pursuit Summer Workout Series

The New Social Hour:  It’s all about our outdoor fitness. Get in on the action with the Hot Pursuits Summer Workout Series, taking place on select weekends throughout the season at Fashion Island.

Newport Run Club

Lace up those sneakers and get those steps in! Not just a club but also a community, Newport Run Club offers a way to invest in your health and meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts. Every Wednesday, hundreds of runners meet at the Newport Pier at 6:30 p.m. to jog it out and catch the sunset. There are 3- and 5-mile route options as well as a walk crew, and there are no sign-ups or fees. Simply show up, set your pace and go!

Pickleball For Wishes

Get outside for a good cause on August 2nd! The 5th Annual Pickleball for Wishes Tournament, presented by Cain Real Estate Group, benefiting Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire, will be held at the nationally recognized Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach. Enjoy a free beginner’s clinic in the morning, followed by tournaments for advanced, intermediate, and beginner players. Bring your friends, family, or coworkers for a day of fun and impact.

Newport Peach

Swimsuit season is officially in full swing, so it’s time to tone that peach! Newport Peach hosts its Peach at the Beach classes every Monday at 5:30 p.m., which feature a fusion of Pilates-inspired moves with a “peachy” twist. Meet at Lifeguard Tower #17 and sweat it out with a combo of Buti Yoga, Peach ‘n Abs, barre and mat pilates. You’ll love this high-energy class (and the ocean view).

Pirate Coast Paddle Company

Take your yoga practice to the next level with a SUP yoga class on the water. Pirate Coast Paddle Company invites yogis to float atop a stand-up paddleboard as internationally known SUP Yoga instructor Kelly Huck guides the group through a basic flow of yoga poses and breathwork. Classes take place on the serene waters of the Back Bay, where attendees can enjoy the outdoor beauty of Newport Beach. All levels are welcome!
