A Toast to Summer Solstice: Longest Happy Hours in Newport Beach
Happy Hour is considered a daily holiday in Newport Beach. Luckily, the restaurants in town are well aware of this weekly tradition. Some restaurants are a little more in tune and know that 3pm – 6pm is just not enough time to celebrate a hard-earned and half-priced cocktail. The following places have granted these thirsty requests and to your benefit, we took the liberty to list out the longest happy hours in Newport Beach.
Harborside Restaurant
It’s only right that Harborside Restaurant is the first featured happy hour on this list since it is the longest happy hour in Newport from 11:30am – 7pm. Not only is this a time to load up on craft cocktails and draft brew but there is also a happy hour food menu. The menu ranges from fresh oysters to ahi nachos. This is a happy hour you don’t want to miss nor can you since it lasts pretty much all day, EVERYDAY. Check out the happy hour menu here.
Sol Mexican Cocina
Enjoy some deliciously fresh Mexican cuisine at SOL Cocina for their happy hour. In addition to margaritas starting at $5.50 and tequila flights for $7.50 – you can also nosh on pork carnitas street tacos, lemon-mescal chicken street tacos, panuchos, and Baja shrimp cocktails starting at only $3.00. If those deals aren’t enough, SOL does “Tacos & Tequila” every Tuesday, from 4 PM – close which is a major happy hour in itself. Check out this happy hour menu here.
Topside Rooftop Bar
In honor of the First Day of Summer and the longest day of the year, June 21st, Topside is celebrating the only way they know how to – Champagne popsicles! Okay so this may not technically be an official happy hour but there will $5 champagne popsicles from 4pm – 11pm and that certainly sounds like a happy time. Topside also boasts the only rooftop bar in Newport Beach, just another reason excuse to consider this a happy hour because who isn’t beaming when they have a rooftop view of the city and a champagne popsicle in their hand?
