Our Favorite Flights in Newport Beach

May 26, 2022

When it comes to selecting a boozy libation, we can’t ever seem to decide. Do we order the pale ale or the IPA? The grapefruit mimosa or the classic OJ? If you’re anything like us, the decision is never easy. So to make things simple, we’ve put together a list of our favorite “flights” in Newport Beach, where you can sample up to four drinks at once! Cheers!

Beer Flight

Order at: Helmsman Ale House

Newport Beach’s only craft brewery, Helmsman Ale House, serves up flights on flights of locally inspired beers made by head brewer Greg Suchsland. Choose from the flight list, which includes the refreshing Citrus Lite Lager, lightly sweetened Honey Blonde Ale, hoppy Newport Fog IPA and more.

Tequila Flight

Order at: RED O “Taste of Mexico”

This one is for all the tequila-lovers out there! RED O at Fashion Island offers tequila flights that come with three-ounce tastings of blanco, reposado and añejo. These tastings are served neat with a traditional sangrita on the side.

Breakfast in Bed Shot

Order at: Bosscat Kitchen & Libations

Famed for its creative comfort food, Bosscat Kitchen & Libations puts a funky twist on American classics. And if you’re stopping in for brunch, the Breakfast in Bed Shot is a must! This mini flight comes with maple bourbon, OJ and bacon—the ultimate eye-opener!

Mimosa Flight

Order at: Zov’s

Who doesn’t love a mimosa? If you love some bubbles for breakfast like we do, you’ll dig Zov’s mimosa flight for $14.95. In addition to champagne, this flight comes with traditional OJ, pomegranate juice, yuzu lavender juice, prickly pear juice, peach ginger juice or el corazon.

Beer Flight

Order at: Lido Bottle Works

With an extensive list of brews, Lido Bottle Works is the perfect bayside spot for a flight of your favorites. Try a variety of local beers brewed in nearby cities like San Clemente, Long Beach, Anaheim, Huntington Beach and more. The best part? If you fall in love with your flight, you can visit LBW’s on-site bottle shop and take home cans of your favorite brews!
