Your Guide to All Things Pumpkin Spice in Newport Beach

Your Guide to All Things Pumpkin Spice in Newport Beach

This week, we’re talking all things pumpkin spice and everything nice! Newport Beach’s best restaurants have curated menus chock-full of fall goodness, so we set out to try these dishes for ourselves. From pumpkin muffins for breakfast to pumpkin pesto pasta for dinner, we’ve rounded up our favorite pumpkin spice-flavored treats to snack on this season. No tricks, all treats!

Pumpkin Pie Chai

Order at: Alta Coffee

We all love a PSL, but skip the Starbucks line this season and support your local coffee shop! Alta Coffee is whipping up pumpkin pie chai lattes this fall that are heaven in a cup. Make it dirty with a shot of espresso, or make it flirty with a dollop of housemade whipped cream! Nothing beats a foggy fall morning at Alta Coffee.

Pumpkin Spiced Biscotti

Order at: Rye Goods

Featuring a menu of seasonal delights, Rye Goods at Lido Marina Village is an organic bakery and deli specializing in freshly baked treats. They use freshly milled grains and wild yeast to create a swoon-worthy selection of baked goods. This season, you’ll find everything from butternut squash pocket croissants to apple cider donuts and pumpkin spiced biscotti.

Fall Pesto Pasta

Order at: True Food Kitchen

While Fashion Island’s True Food Kitchen is prized for its healthy and fresh approach to dining, it still offers a wide selection of comfort food. The fall pesto pasta is tossed in their housemade cilantro pumpkin pesto sauce, offering a healthy twist on a comforting classic. Pair this seasonal dish with their peach mojito crafted with Don Q rum, peach Giffard, mint and lime, and end your meal on a sweet note with the spiced apple crumble cake.

Pumpkin Spiced Tiramisu Ice Cream

Order at: Salt & Straw

If we know one thing, it’s that Salt & Straw is not your average ice cream shop. This creamery is always innovating and rotating flavors based on the seasons, and this month, you can snag a scoop of their Pumpkin Spiced Tiramisu! Made with spiced coffee ice cream, maple syrup, cinnamon, clove and ginger swirled with tiramisu cake and drizzled with coffee mascarpone and chocolate stracciatella, this decadent dessert is sure to hit the spot this fall. Don’t miss out on other autumn flavors, such as their Carmel Apple Sherbert and vegan Chocolate Plum & Hazelnut Shortbread!

Pumpkin Joy Smoothie or Bowl

Order at: Thrive Juice Lab

The holiday season isn’t known for healthy living (cue the Halloween candy and pumpkin pie). But if you’re in search of a fall treat that’s equal parts healthy and delicious, head to Thrive Juice Lab for their Pumpkin Joy Smoothie or Bowl! The bowl is made with organic pumpkin, banana, dates, sprouted almond milk, vanilla maple syrup and cinnamon and is topped with banana, strawberry, berries, cacao nibs and nutmeg! The best part? All of Thrive’s ingredients are organic, locally sourced, gluten-free, dairy-free and non-GMO.
