5 New Things to Check Out in Newport Beach for 2024

One thing we love about our seaside city is its willingness to welcome new businesses. Whether it’s a new culinary concept, charming boutique, fitness studio or stunning hotel, there’s always something new and exciting to check out in Newport Beach!

Want the inside scoop on what’s new and coming soon? Check out this list of restaurants, shops and more that have opened (or are gearing up to open) their doors in 2024.

Restoration Hardware (coming soon)

A leader in luxury home furnishings, Restoration Hardware is set to open its highly anticipated Fashion Island location this fall. The 80,000-square-foot space will feature the only Design Gallery in the area with a joined hospitality experience that includes a glass-encased rooftop restaurant and wine bar, an in-house interior design firm and four levels of showroom floors. Visitors will soon be able to shop everything from furniture and lighting to textiles and decor.

Barry’s Bootcamp (now open!)

Newport Beach locals (and visitors, for that matter) can now sweat it out in the red room! Barry’s Bootcamp opened its doors this April, and this boutique fitness studio is ready to upgrade your workout routine. The signature class format at Barry’s features 50% strength training on the floor and 50% high-intensity cardio on the treadmill, yielding the perfectly balanced sweat sesh you didn’t know you needed. Come check out the studio’s newest location at Fashion Island!

Buona Forchetta (coming soon)

Craving a taste of Italy? Buona Forchetta is slated to open on the Balboa Peninsula within the next few months, bringing its award-winning pizzas, hand-made pastas and Italian seafood specialties to Newport Beach. Foodies will soon be able to soak in bay views as they ciao down on signature creations like the burrata caprese, pene al funghi or puttanesca pizza.

Ocean 48 (coming soon)

New restaurants are popping up all over Newport Beach, and Fashion Island seems to be the mecca for new culinary inspiration. If seafood is your jam, Ocean 48 will soon be your go-to for all the sea-to-table delicacies you crave. This fine-dining restaurant will offer everything from fresh lobster and crab to wild-caught salmon and tuna, in tandem with an impressive wine list and cocktail program.

Irv’s Burgers (now open!)

Nothing beats a burger and bay views, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Irv’s Burgers. This iconic burger joint got its start in 1946 as a historic staple of Route 66, earning its title as one of the original roadside burger stands in Los Angeles. Irv’s has received the thumbs up from celebs like Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Seth Rogan and Drew Barrymore, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome this foodie icon to the city of Newport Beach. Stop by the historic Balboa Fun Zone to try one of their original roadside burgers or chili cheese dogs!
